Mother of 9-year-old pepper sprayed by Rochester police wants officers fired

CNY CENTRAL - Rochester, NY — Outrage in the city of Rochester and beyond continues after police used pepper-spray against a nine-year-old child. The officers involved have been suspended and an internal review of the incident is underway. Governor Andrew Cuomo has also called for a full investigation into the incident.

Hearings set in Tohafjian rape case

Finger Lakes Times - Waterloo, NY — Pretrial hearings will be held in June for Emerson “John” Tohafjian, who is serving a life sentence for two murders and now faces a rape charge. On Tuesday, Acting Seneca County Judge Daniel Doyle scheduled the hearings for June 14. Tohafjian faces felony charges of rape and unlawful imprisonment for an incident that allegedly took place last June in Fayette.
